THE CAST

  • Sam LaFrage (Playwright, Co-Director, Arlecchino, Sound Designer)

    is the creator and co-founder of The Ragtag Theatre Company. He is a writer/director/actor living in NYC and is a 2012 graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City, and was selected as a member of the 2013 New York Academy Company. Both of his plays Rapunzel (OBA Nom Best Family Show) and Cinderella (OBA Winner Best Family Show) ran Off Broadway at the Soho Playhouse and the McGinn/Cazle, NYC, and (so far) have been produced by 6 different companies in 4 different states! Sam would like to thank his incredible company members, Chrstine, Doug and Lewis, and his Mom and Dad for everything they do.

  • Natasha Nightingale (Columbina)

    is a British actress based in New York. Born in Asia, she spent her early years in the cultural melting pots of Hong Kong and Singapore. In 1999 she moved to the UK, where she became a member of the National Youth Theatre and won a role in their 2009 production of Foot/Mouth. In 2010 she performed at the Edinburgh Fringe with the theatre company- F.T.G productions which she co-founded and which gained the support of noteworthy actors Emily Blunt, Dawn French and playwright Rebecca Lenkiewicz. Graduating the conservatory training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2012, she was selected to be apart of the 2013 Company. Her first professional role out of Drama School was the female lead in the WPPAC’s production of The Thirty Nine Steps. Since then, she starred as Rapunzel and Cinderella in two productions of the Ragtag Theatre Company off-broadway productions at The Soho Playhouse, along with working on various other film, print and commercial projects.

  • Andy Dispensa (Pantalone)

    The New York Native is a proud graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and has been working consistently in film, theatre and voiceover since finishing with the AADA Company in 2015. Recent theatre credits include The Caterpillar (Your Alice – Ophelia Theatre Group, BAM 2018), Stephen (Line by Israel Horovitz – 13th Street Rep), Marcus Pressi (Crashlight – Cherry Lane Theatre), Pantalone (The Commedia Rapunzel/Cinderella – Soho Playhouse,Mcginn/Cazale), and Alan A Dale (Hood The Musical – Douglas Carter Beane, Scranton Shakespeare Festival). He is also a published playwright and his new full length play The Hound, The Hare, and The Hallway is set to debut at the Hudson Guild this February for Winterfest Festival. SEMPRE DRITTO!!!   • Jason Hurtado (Pulcinella)

    Jason is so uberly totes excited to be reprising his role(s) in Ragtag Theatre’s Cinderella! Working with Ragtag Theatre has been such a fetch adventure and he is extremely grateful to be apart of this new type of family theater. Along with being a part time wedding singer, some of his favorite NYC roles to date include; The Emcee in Cabaret, Officer Lockstock in Urinetown and, of course, Matilda!     is a creative artist specializing in collaborative ensemble-based work.   • Dennis Corsi Co-Director

    is the artistic associate of the Bingham Camp Theatre Retreat, developing new work celebrating diversity. He is creative director of Script Match, a web app connecting playwrights and producers. Dennis is the video director at B • OUT, an LGBTQ media company, where he is directing the new television series In Pursuit. Dennis is a dramaturg for NYMF and is on their selection committee for musicals.   • Christine Cox Consulting Producer

    has extensive experience working inchildren’s entertainment and education. Her company, C-Squared Entertainment, represents several family shows including The Amazing Max, Hanna and the Moonlit Dress and Ragtag Theatre’s Cinderella. She cocreated the NYC based event company, A Princess Visit, which was featured on the Today Show teaching Dylan Dreyer how to play the role of a professional party princess. As a teaching artist she created an educational dance program, 5th Grade Ballroom Stars, which teaches the importance of etiquette and respect. She is a partner of 3C Theater Consulting and has produced works featured in the NYC Dream Up Festival.

  • Nick Mayfield Assistant SM

    is Dallas-born, NYC-based theatremaker with a passion for physically based work such as clown, mime, and Commedia dell Arte, often tackling it through a Queer lens. Having trained in NYC, London, Italy, and Thailand, Nick loves to make fun and engaging that takes audiences on fantastic journeys.
